Documentary modes;
Expository - expository documentaries are normally about a person or topic. They have been known as a 'classic documentary'. There are normally pictures or videos with a narration about the topic being voiced over the visual. A well known expository documentary would be any of David Attenborough's documentaries.
Observational - this type of documentary is like reality. Big Brother is a observational. It is when you put camera there and leave them to record what ever happens. Camera's are not normally operated by people as it wouldn't create a realistic effect. If people see they're being recorded by someone they act different. Whereas if the cameras are hidden but they know they're being recorded it will look a lot more realistic.
